Post 1.i La Sortie de l'Usine Lumière à Lyon

'La Sortie de l'Usine Lumière à Lyon' was the first commercial exhibition of a projected motion picture to a paying public. This way of viewing has evolved into the cinema experience we have today. The Lumière brothers were given the name of 'the founding fathers of modern film' as they created the very start of commercial film making. Although their film making career was short lived due to their stubbornness in not selling their camera to other filmmakers, the short amount of time they dedicated to the industry allowed others to evolve their original idea and create different motion pictures of their own.
